Mobius Environmental Awards: Call for Nominations

Nominations for the 12th annual Mobius Environmental Awards are now open. If you know of, or are, an innovative individual or organization that helps make Nova Scotia a leader in waste reduction, RRFB Nova Scotia welcomes your submission. DEADLINE FOR NOMINATIONS IS APRIL 30th, 2010.

The Mobius Awards luncheon will be held on June 2nd at Pier 21 in Halifax. The keynote speaker for this year's awards luncheon is Silver Donald Cameron, one of Canada's most versatile and experienced professional authors. Please check out Silver Donald’s biography for more information.

Nova Scotia Recycles Contest is Closed

On February 5th, the 10th Annual Nova Scotia Recycles Contest closed for another year. We would like to extend our thanks to the teachers and students who submitted the many wonderful entries for this year's contest. We received over 9,000 submissions from 226 participating schools and will be announcing the winners and runners-up later this month!

Announcement: Agreement to Process the
Province's Used Tires

RRFB Nova Scotia is pleased to announce that a contractual agreement has been reached to implement a made in Nova Scotia solution for the province's used tires. Under this agreement, Halifax C&D Recycling Ltd, will process and market used tires as Tire Derived Aggregate (TDA).
